How to contribute to the Inquiry: an invitation to submit written evidence to the Inquiry

Invitation for written submissions

The Inquiry Panel has issued an invitation to anyone who has any information or knowledge, which is relevant to the Inquiry’s terms of reference, and which they think can assist the Inquiry Panel in its task, to make a written submission.

You must provide your contact details with the written submission (name, contact address, telephone number e-mail, etc).

Deadline for written submissions

The original deadline for written submissions was 23 February 2004. This was extended to 31 March 2004.

The Inquiry regrets that it is unable to accept any further written submissions.

What happens to a written submission?

Submissions are considered by the Inquiry which decides:

  1. whether the evidence in the written submission is sufficient for the purposes of the Inquiry and no further information is required;
  2. whether to invite the person making the submission to attend a public session of the Inquiry to provide further evidence orally;
  3. whether to invite the person making the submission to attend a private session of the Inquiry to provide evidence orally.

As a general rule written submissions received by the Inquiry will be published on the website.

The times, dates and locations of all hearings will be publicised on this website.
